In the Metro

 I arrived in Delhi during the period when the preparations for the Commonwealth Gamer 2010 were going on at full pace and the roads in Delhi were either dug-up or restricted entry for practice etc. Thus, the most convenient mode of transport was METRO....... one of the greatest examples of Indian system of project management........
My experience of Metro has made me a fan of it.......

In the Metro

Next station is ........
Doors will open on the left,
Please mind the gap;
The melodious voice untiringly goes on,
Next station is .........

Men, women and children;
Fracases without faces,
The stream of humanity flows on;
The melodious voice untiringly goes on,
Next station is.........

Back to back, neck to neck,
Wrong and right rubbing together,
Pent-up heat in hearts grows on;
The melodious voice untiringly goes on,
Next station is.........

Bridal bangles full on wrists,
Jeans holding on the hips,
Draw hundreds of curious brows on,
The melodious voice untiringly goes on,
Next station is........

Earphones packed in ears,
Hands clicking the mobile keys,
The young man's time of life stows on;
The melodious voice untiringly goes on,
Next station is............

Men on seats, women on feet,
Eyes meet without a greet;
The blinker on the route-panel glows on;
The melodious voice untiringly goes on,
Next station is..........

Hope of home or of hunt,
Freedom from fret and fad,
A breeze of faith and relief blows on.
The melodious voice untiringly goes on,
Next station is...........

Doors will open on right,
Please mind the gap;
The melodious voice untiringly goes on.
Next station is...........

The Days & the Nights

Hi! It was difficult putting my real first blog.
In effect, it took me two days before I could decide upon my first Hymn to be on air.

Each one of us lives a life which is unique to himself or herself,  but history sees them as one only. The great scientists have been developing theories to define time and the beginning or end of the universe. While they may be able to do that and their colleagues may be able to make our lives more comfortable with numerous new luxuries, the cycle of life in the form of birth and death, happiness and sorrow, achievements and failures etc would continue to move along a path unknown, uncharted and unimaginable.
This poem, if it is one, is a tribute to life and its existence.

Starting on a new journey

This is a new experience I am trying to get by starting my own blog.
I have been trying to pen my thoughts whenever possible but they have remained private to me.
Let us share and join together the thoughts to make life enjoyable.
It is a Thursday..... The day of Guru,
Today the 5th April2012 ......The day of Sri Vishnu,
